Our acronym
The distinguishing feature we have created to represent our association
had a duty to illustrate our common perception of how we carry
out our profession of lawyers.
Its resemblance with an ear – symbolising
the listening – is not accidental; but it is not the main
message we have tried to get across with that form combining harmoniously
the rigour of a square and smoothness of a circle.
Rigour, fighting spirit and firmness are so many
qualities essential to the optimum defence of the interests of
our clients who should be able to rely permanently on the skill
of their lawyer and of those surrounding him or her, as well as
on the reliability of their advices.
But the effective defence of a file requires
also other qualities, such as tact, choice of terms and nuances,
sense of negotiation and art of conciliation, that are so many
means allowing to “smooth the rough edges” of a litigation
or relationship.
The lawyers of our association are intent on combining in a balanced
way these two essential approaches complementing each other, which
results in our acronym that represents both “smooth
rigour” and “watchful smoothness”.
